Manchester United 4-0 Aston Villa; Man Utd fire warning shot to Roma

Wayne Rooney

Wayne Rooney got his scoring boots back in the right time before the vital Champions’ League clash against Roma as he grabbed 2 goals. Carlos Tevez and of course Cristiano Ronaldo scored the other two goals. The whole forward line were in devestating form and they kept pouring down with attacks, especially in the first half.

Ronaldo opened the scoring from a Ryan Giggs corner. The way he scored the goal with cheeky shot with the scores at nil-nil showed a man confident of his abilities and is in rich form. Then the pacy winger created the rest of the three goals basically shows what kind of form he is in. First a pin-point cross for Tevez, a clever back-heel pass for Rooney and another great pass for Rooney’s second. The only player who caused any type of trouble for United was Ashley Young but alone he could not do anything to trouble United’s defence. Paul Scholes and Michael Carrick put in a good shift too, and I do wonder what Capello was thinking not picking Carrick for England, not even the 30-man squad. I think he can play in Gareth Barry’s position, just better! If Capello was going to play Barry and Hargreaves together, wouldn’t it have better if he just used Carrick, given the fact that both train week in-week out in the same club?

Anyway back to Manchester United..watch out Roma (who themselves blew a great chance today to get closer to catching Inter in the league), it may not be 7-1 again, but it could be a whooping all the same if you dont get your gameplan on in time.
