So its pretty obvious, the Champion’s League is pretty fresh in people’s memories, since Kaka has oo-lala, won the Ballon D’Or awarded by the prestigious France Football magazine quite convincingly. After 96 journalists and 50 players from around the world(Qatar too!), Kaka won with 544 points, followed by 277 points for step-over maestro Ronaldo. Not too far behind was the little Argentine, Lionel Messi with 255 votes.
Even with AC Milan’s current stuttering season, Kaka still managed to finish on top, which personally I thought wouldn’t happen, but apparently that didn’t count here. I would probably have (more…)

So this week, Old Trafford welcomed Fulham, and as expected Manchester United, ran out victorious 2-0. The game boosted the return of England’s (are they European?) Wayne Rooney, although lacking match fitness and pretty much no sharpness. At times Manchester United were so in control, I think they took naps, hence giving the Fulham a chance here and there to attack, but Kuqi and friends predictably missed the target (can you believe Healy was in United?). But who decided to turn up the heat? None other than Cristiano Ronaldo, although Carlos Tevez had his chances but Antti Niemi seemed to have been promised a Bugatti Veryon by someone if he kept Tevez’s name away from the scoresheet. But there was no stopping Cristiano Ronalo, with a little help…actually ALOT of help from the Fulham defence to get his 2 goals and 11th double of his United career. But he still awaits his first hat-trick for the Red Devils as he was seemingly adjudged to have dived over Niemi and booked by the referee. I guess the referee would have given the penalty if he just ran into the goalkeeper and risked injury, mehh, who knows..
So Cristiano Ronalo, World Cup wasn’t a great one for him, was it? The world’s most popular watched tournament and claims of Ronaldo diving seemed to be screamed loudest then, by players, coaches, press. And (more…)
