Manchester United won 4-0 against Sunderland, managed by Manchester United legend, Roy Keance. It really was a one-sided affair, with United completely dominating from start to finish. A brace from Louis Saha, a Wayne Rooney strike and a blistering free-kick from Cristiano Ronaldo sealed the win for the Red Devils and put them on top. With Arsenal producing a goal-less draw against high flying Portsmouth, they remain on top of the table.

After a few years jumping clubs and trying to find his scoring touch, Fiorentina decided to swoop for the Italian, Christan Vieri, which was a surprise one, as Fiorentina seemed to sign mostly young talent. Vieri, the former European player of the year and one time, most expensive player in the world when joining Inter Milan, has finally started getting on the score sheet a bit more often, but is now accustomed to a new role, as super-sub. He has started only 2 games in the league, but has come on to the pitch 12 times from the bench. But nothing is more valuable than experience and the Italian is used more regularly in the UEFA Cup, and he showed once again why when he scored the winner against Mlada Boleslav to secure a 2-1 win and secure a place in the last 32 of the competition.

An amazing player, a coach’s dream and a strong religious man. I mean who wouldn’t like this guy? EVERYONE wants him in their team, he never seems to say nothing bad about anyone and he single-handedly wins games for you when top of his game, as last season’s UEFA Champions’ League and more recently, the World Clup Competition. With the return to regular national team action, he’s playing better than ever in the Brazil yellow jersey and scoring goals on a regular basis. No wonder his votes were equal to the number of votes for Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo combined! After winning the award, he thanked everyone and even all his fans, awww, what a sweety!
Carlos Ancelloti’s formation for playing with only one striker and allowing Kaka to roam more freely behind has (more…)

Manchester United recorded a narrow 1-0 win against Liverpool to keep them out of the top four and keep rivals Manchester City in. It wasn’t the result Rafael Benitez was hoping for after the much hyped meeting with his American bosses. Not the ‘Howdy’ he will be hoping for. There seemed to be a defender blocking every Liverpool effort. The victory was as dramatic as last season’s John O’Shea winner at the end of the match, but Carlos Tevez punished them at the end of the first half. Sir Alex Fergurson opted to protect the one goal lead in the end, bringing on Carrick and John O’Shea. He was certainly a happy man, especially this season after the whole Gabriel Heinze issue before the beginning of the season. Sven Goran Eriksson will be pleased with the result too as Manchester City remain in the top four for atleast a few more days.
Arsenal and Chelsea was a match, all about grit and determination from both teams. (more…)

With players like Lionel Messi, Hernan Crespo, Carlos Tevez, Saviola, how did you expect me to notice you man?! I mean Lionel Messi scores goals like Maradonna (including a God of hand goal!), and what do you do? You go about quietly scoring one goal and creating one goal against bitter rivals AC Milan.
Hernan Crespo jumps from Inter Milan to Chelsea, he can’t play there, so he goes to AC Milan where (more…)
